Get inside your favorite wild animal. The class will work from photographs, pictures, x-rays, and small animals themselves to get a view from every angle of animal anatomy. Examine simple motions like bending the arm at a hinge joint and more complex motions like how we walk, run, jump, and dance. What makes an animal move in just the way it needs to in order to survive in the wild? By closely examining the bones and muscles of these animals, and the habitats that support their survival, we can begin to understand the science of movement and the art of momentum.

Construct a Greek monster, none are scarier; a Cyclops, the hydra, or Cerberus (and you thought J.K. Rowling’s ideas were original?). Make art from natural objects. Create a Forest Village, or primitive camp, and spend much of your time at the camp learning outdoor safety, compass directions, and basic Ninja survival skills.
On the last day, Thursday, camp will run as usual and then in the evening campers will return to the meadow to spend the night. A parent must accompany their camper for the overnight portion of this camp. Breakfast in the morning will be provided and served family style. After breakfast Ninjas and their families will break camp and melt away into the shadows of a late summer morning.
